Andy Eppler (Ando):
Andy Eppler AKA Ando is a multidisciplinary artist living in Denver, Colorado working in music, paint, print, film, comedy, television, liquid light, as well as many other art mediums. His music blends classic Outlaw Country music with R&B and Soul influences. His visual art uses psychedelic influences to explore mysticism and beauty.
Eppler has sixteen published albums to his credit. His eight solo albums are complimented by the albums he recorded as part of the duet The Prairie Scholars from 2009-2016. Most of this music is still publicly available and the rest is available on his Patreon. As the author of three books on art philosophy, Eppler enjoys speaking at conferences and colleges about the functionality of creativity and the usefulness of art in society.
In his adopted home of Colorado, he has become known for creating psychedelically themed paintings, award winning short films, and comedic political commentary. In 2021 and 2022 he produced a sixteen episode limited television series and three specials for Longmont Public Media called Boulder County Tonight, which explored local elections and the ballot issues facing Boulder County. He continues to provide election coverage for Boulder County through his partnership with Longmont Public Media. Mr. Eppler has been referred to as “Boulder County’s Renaissance Man” and “a Colorado-ized version of a Late Night host” by Colorado media outlets like the Boulder Weekly and the Longmont Leader.
In 2022 the Texas Tech University Archives announced that a new “Andy Eppler Collection”, which consists of dozens of hand written lyric sheets, original art pieces, and album memorabilia. The collection was added to their famous “Southwest Art Collection” to be stored and showcased alongside the collections of other impactful local artists such as Buddy Holly, Waylon Jennings, and Natalie Maines.
Today, Mr. Eppler continues to enjoy exploring beauty, mysticism, and meaning through his art.
